I am the author of the first book-length history of Gibbs and do not have an official relationship with Perdoceoed, the new name of the last parent company.  However, I am very much pleased to point graduates in the correct direction.

Transcripts 

Start at the records office: [email protected].  An auto-reply outlines all the processes, fees, time frames and mentions name changes. All the forms are attached. 

Please note, Gibbs changed its name in 2010 to Sanford-Brown College. Therefore, the request needs to be made under that school name. In other words, use the name Sanford-Brown and your campus.

  6. I attended Gibbs Boston from 2009 to 2011 then they closed and I need a copy of my degree of can I get it if the school is closed

    Please help me if anyone can help me and let me know how I can get a copy of my degree I need it ASAP if possible

  7. How do I get a official letter stating that Gibbs College officially changed thre name to Sanford-Brown College? Any transcripts that I ask for state Sanford-Brown College. I did not attend that college. I attend Gibbs College in 1997.

      You will have to talk with the last parent company, Career Education Corporation. This it the first time that I have heard about this issue.

      The date of the name change was 2010. I suggest that for email or call CEC.

  9. Hi,

    I read on the careered website, that a duplicate diploma will be in the name of Sanford Brown..that’s not an option because I did not attend Sanford Brown. I would like to request a transcript instead but am wondering if that will say the name of the school I attended which is Katharine Gibb school in Piscataway New Jersey. I require something from them that states I attended Katharine Gibb school.

    I graduated from Katharine Gibbs School back in 1986 from the Tysons Corner, VA school. I am applying for a new position and I want to be sure to correctly present the degree I obtained from Katharine Gibbs. I attended the One-Year Secretarial Program and I just need to know if this program is considered an associate degree, at the time I was told that it is a two-year degree that is compressed into one year. If it is not, what would be the correct designation for my degree.
